East Windsor is a growing suburban town of about 25,000 people. It is located in Central New Jersey, about half way between New York City and Philadelphia. The town has a mixture of single family houses, condos, town houses and apartments. The Twin Rivers area is the first planned community in New Jersey.
East Windsor occupies the North East corner of Mercer County. East Windsor is accessable via exit 8 of the NJ Turnpike, US Route 130, NJ Route 33 and Mercer County Routes 571 and 539. East Windsor's central location makes it ideal for business.
The US Route 130 corridor and the roads around it contain the largest commercial district. A second district is in the Twin Rivers area

East Windsor has no Post Office of its own. Most of the town is served by the Hightstown Post Office, Zip Code 08520. The area North of Route 571 and West of Route 130 is served by the Cranbury Post Office, Zip Code 08512.
